Comments in this post are very useful to understand false trap value ban problem.

What about adding autocomplete = 'off' as a field attribute?

Wow, it worked, at least in my browser. Thanks Steven. I will try on other browsers and other machines as well.

Hi Steven
Just a quick note.
I love the security of Commentics. Just a couple of says online I get quite a few "Trap Value" bans - from the weirdest locations. Well done. This really nicely and eloquently prevents spammers from submitting their annoying mail.
I tested a shopping cart and got 60-80 spam every day... made me take it off and deleted the email. This was the greatest pain I ever experienced.
So yes, I can only recommend Commentics!
One question though, how to delete the bans after a while from admin but keeping them alive (especially the serious spam suspects? I can imagine the ban list could fill rapidly.
Also, maybe a html referrer notice would be good (only for statistics, though. Not sure if this would be important anyway since spammers enter unintentionally just anywhere, right?)

Hi,
Do you mean like a "Mark as read" feature where it would no longer be listed on the page but it would still be active?
This can't be done at the moment but I will have a think about it.

yep, something like. It's ok to have them in the DB but would be good to have them hidden in the admin. could be getting too long ... ;-)
Thanks
