Multi language support?
#1

Hi there,

did you ever think about to support other languages?

Right now I'm about to translate it to the German language.
But it gives me a hard time, because I had to switch the file codings from ASCII of all files to UTF-8. Than I'd to check all files for English textes and translate it.

I'm almost done by now but it'll still take a few days to finish it.
If you'r interested on the files, let me know and I'll make a zip file to send it to you.

Hi,

I regard multilingual support as being very important.
At some point there will be an admin panel switch for the language.

I'd be interested in receiving a German translation. It would help the project.
Most of the text is in the folder comments/includes/language/
There's also the file comments/subscribers.php

Please submit it as an attachment here:
http://www.commentics.org/support/index.php?a=add

All of the files in the next version will be UTF-8 encoded.

Have you completed the interview?

That sound fair enouch to me.
I already sent you my files via PM. But I didn't touch the admin panel for now.

Anyway, I walked through the admin folders and had a look at the source files.
I 've seen that you're using a nice mix of jQuery, scriptaculous and prototype.

That looks kind complicated to me.Huh

But I think the admin panel is already a project by itself.

A translation would be very useful, DeltaOS.
I'll probably make one myself later.

I've actually mentioned the ASCII part in the backend to Steven sometime earlier. Since he wasn't planning on writing translations, he didn't change it. Luckily, he's going to fix it, which will make things much easier Smile

I'm giving you three guesses...

Hi Static,

I've already sent the German files to Steven.
I hope we can do soon a update to version 1.2.1 (multi language support). Wink

Thanks for the files Gert, however the language/processor.php file wasn't translated.

At this moment I'm only interested in translations for the frontend, so please don't send any admin panel translations.

Have you completed the interview?
