Hi,

Do you know if you have Magic Quotes enabled on your server? From looking at your source code it appears that it could be (part of) the problem.

Hi Steven,
I have edited the htaccess file
Alternatively you can try adding this to your site's .htaccess file:

php_flag magic_quotes_gpc Off
But Add comments and Preview still dont work.
any other ideas please
Thanks Peter

If you look in Layout -> Divider, you have extra backslashes (\) in the code.

These were likely added due to Magic Quotes being enabled when you edited it.

If you have disabled Magic Quotes then go to Layout -> Divider and remove the backslashes.

Otherwise, if it is still enabled, then you will need to download the file comments/includes/template/divider.txt by FTP, remove the backslashes and upload the file.

Okay there are no errors. I don't know how to help. I can only suggest to start again but with v1.6.

Hello steven,
the problem appears to be an incompatability in my dropdown linkbox and the commentics buttons
As you can see at http://www.restaurantsintheminervois.co....garole.php
if I comment out
<!--
<form id="search" name="form1">
-->
from my dropdown linkbox
it works.
is there a workround or some solution to this.
thanks for your help so far
Peter
