I have a very smooth V2 version which has worked flawlessly for 18 months but as of this w/e inserts into the viewers table seem to have died. The rest works just fine. I've made no change so it must be something at the host end. Any known causes for this - SQL or PHP upgrades, some other setting change I could point to at the webhost end?

Any error messages? The most obvious thing to check first is that the feature is enabled in 'Settings -> Viewers' and that the Timeout setting has a reasonable value (for example 1200 seconds). The only other thing I can think of is that the database table has crashed which can happen because the table does a lot of writes. To fix this you can open phpMyAdmin, navigate to the Viewers table, click the 'Operations' tab and click the 'Repair table' link. Out of interest if you go to the 'Browse' tab what is the latest Id number up to?
