Do you think gravatar integration would be a plus ( http://en.gravatar.com/ )? It looks simple enough to include (Implementation code). The only problem would be validating the email address. The best workaround would be to post the comment by default without the gravatar, and only display the gravatar if the user actually validated it through his/her email.
I personally have no experience with gravatars at all, so maybe someone (among the members) could help with this idea? In fact, I might have the wrong idea about the validation issue, so if someone could clear that up, it would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps there is a better or alternative service for this (OpenID)?
