jQuery conflict
#1

Hello
I have come across a problem. I am using some jQuery plugins for my menu on my site and there is a conflict with the commentics but ONLY if there is a comment on that page. These two pages are identical apart from filename, the commentics code is the same but on "new" there is a comment which causes the menu plugins not to work.
http://wobbiewobbit.com/collections/new - Has a comment and the menu plugins are not working
http://wobbiewobbit.com/collections/funny-old-world - identical code to "new" but with no comment, menu plugins work fine.

Any advice please?
thanks

PS my server seems to be having problems today so appologies for very slow site at the moment, i have submitted a ticket to my host

I tried to edit post but it wouldn't update... I have sorted it by initialising the jquery scripts in the head section instead of after commentics at the end of the page Smile

I have since been told this is not an ideal solution and would be better to find and fix the conflict, any ideas? at least i have a solution temporarily but would be good to fix properly.

Have managed to solve it. if anyone has same issue here is what I did. There was only a JS error if there was a comment. i removed the colorbox reference <script> entry in frontend/view/default/template/main/comments.tpl that was generating the conflict and it works properly now.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. Are you using Commentics v3.0? I think I fixed this bug in v3.1.

Have you completed the interview?
