caching
#1

I had some weird behaviour when I tried to make edits direct to the database -  making a comment a reply to another comment (which it needed to be). Eventually I worked out this had to be due to caching, upgraded 4.1 and emptied the cache (good moving adding that option!). This worked but I then found even deleting a comment from the comments management interface required emptying the cache. Is there an option to just turn off the cache? .. oh and while I ma here is there some way to make the reply to arrows a bit more obvious, many of my users fail to ever see it (they are not the most internet savvy group).

PS As ever thanks for making all this available!

Hi Jeremy,

There's a 'Reply to' field on the edit comment page if you need to make a comment a reply.

Are you deleting the comment from the 'Manage -> Comments' listing page or from the edit comment page? I'll look into that because it should automatically refresh the cache.

You can disable caching in 'Settings -> Cache'. Choose 'None' for the Type field.

Do you have any ideas how the reply button could be more obvious?

Have you completed the interview?
