Hi,

With v2.2, you can replace ReCaptcha with the Securimage add-on.

To upgrade from v1.8 to v2.2, I recommend the following steps:

- Download your /comments/ folder as a backup.
- Download v2.2 from commentics.org

In the v2.2 download:
- rename the admin folder, /comments/admin/, to match your renamed admin folder.
- enter your database details in /comments/includes/db/details.php

1. Put the script in maintenance mode (Settings -> Maintenance).
2. Back up your database (Tools -> Database Backup).
3. On your server delete the /comments/ folder.
4. Upload the v2.2 /comments/ folder.
5. On your server set read-only file permissions (444) for /comments/includes/db/details.php
6. Update your integration code as instructed in part (b) of the v1.8 to v2.0 upgrade instructions.
7. Run the upgrade http://www.domain.com/comments/installer/
8. Log in to your admin panel and make sure everything is working.
9. Take the script out of maintenance mode (Settings -> Maintenance).

Now you will need to re-add your signature to your emails using Settings -> Email -> Editor.

The reserved_emails.txt and reserved_websites.txt files in /comments/includes/words/ will have been reset. You can overwrite these with the old ones from your v1.8 backup.
