		Hello,
I just installed Commentics in a sub-folder of my domain and renamed admin as instructed. Installation went without errors.
Go to admin to log in and screen comes up but can't log in. Did password reset, received email with new password still can't log in.
Using phpMyAdmin verified admin user ID but changed just in case and still can't log in.
Durring install asked for path and already had /comments/ in blue so only included url
http://www.londonareabusinessdirectory.com/
Any suggestions on a solution?
Thanks
Dan

The login simply says wrong user name / password.
Running the /renamed_admin/auth.php returns "
Access Denied."
It doesn't return anything else. Could it be an .htaccess rule? Just the default .htaccess file is in /comments
Thanks
Dan

Sorry, I should have explained it. You don't run /comments/renamed_admin/auth.php. After you upload the auth.php file to replace the existing one, you just try to log in like normal (by going to /comments/renamed_admin/). When you try to log in it should display a series of numbers. If it says wrong username/password then you haven't replaced the existing auth.php file with the one that I linked to.

Just in case I updated my .htaccess file with
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /comments/
I then tried with the url
http://www.londonareabusinessdirectory.c.../index.php
In the address line it has.
http://www.londonareabusinessdirectory.c...=dashboard
And these numbers on the page.

Since everything with the new auth.php file was saying OK I figured I would try re-uploading the original and logging in with IE using the complete url including index.php.
I've been able to log in with IE to the admin but I still can't log into the admin with FF. Could it be some kind of cache issue with FF? I wouldn't think so. It doesn't return any error, it's like it just refreshes the page.
If I put in the original admin log in ID, I changed it, then it returns wrong user or password.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks
Dan

You didn't say which browser you are using. I can log in with IE, just not Firefox. If you are using Firefox try logging in with Internet Explorer.
