Removing .php extension
#1

Greetings.

I configured my .htaccess file in a way that php extension is removed so my url looks like domain.com/file

This is why I have an error with commentics script, namely, 404 page not found.

What should I change in order to use your script with removed php extension?

Thank you.

Can you share what the problem was, just in case someone in the future runs into the same issue?

It is confusing but the problem arose again and I found out that I didn't solve it unfortunately.

In the root directory of commentics I had the .htaccess file which removes the .php extension and some files are opened, in other cases there is an 404 error page.

I changed .htaccess file back to the original (with .php extension shown) and bugs gone. I can accept the situation because it doesn't matter for me whether .php extension is shown or not while I use the admin panel. It matters when I use the main web site pages.

Sorry one more time for confusing.

At what point are you getting the 404 error? Is it when trying to post?

I'll need to see your site to determine what's happening.

Have you completed the interview?
