Special Characters wont display when changing the file extension from html to php
#1

Hello

Thanks for a great script.

However I´ve encountered one problem. When I change the file extension of my pages from .html to .php in order for the script to run, special charcters (my sites in Swedish) like åäö and copyright signs etc wont display correctly instead i get question marks displayed.

I have the utf-8 charset:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

Whats the problem and how do I solve it?

The .htaccess approach doesn´t work for me as my host doesn´t support this.

Thanks in advance

Just solved it myself.

The php page happened to be saved in ANSI, so i changed this to UTF-8 and it now seems to work.

Sorry for the inconvenience Blush
