Can't open Backend
#1

Hello,

sorry for my english.  Big Grin

I've installed all how it is write in installation guide. Renaming backend folder and delete installation folder...
The installation is on a local server (xampp) to test.
When I check the site /comments/backendfolder/ the url will extended with "index.php?route=main/dashboard" but the site doesn't load.
It comes an error "the site can't load and "localhost cannot process this request at the moment"

Can you help me to get commentics functionally?

Thanks and greetings
Toeb

Hi Toeb,

It sounds like there could be a 500 Internal Server Error.

Try checking your XAMPP error log to see what the issue is.

Here ist the Apache Error Log. Is this the right log, or where can I find the right log in Xampp?

I don't use XAMPP so it's hard to say. Did you select that you had a dedicated SSL certificate when you installed Commentics? If so, the admin area will redirect you to HTTPS but I don't think your local server can handle it. I'd suggest re-installing without selecting the dedicated SSL option during the installer steps.

I have installed all to my hoster and it works.

It looks good and I need two things to buy it.

Is there a login option for guests to create an account?
I only want to allow registered people to comment.

Commentics doesn't have registration/login/accounts. Instead, it just identifies users based on the combination of their name and email address.

If your website has a login system, you can use that information to tell Commentics whether the user is allowed to comment. See below FAQs.

Good news. That means, if I ask logged-in users from the login system for their e-mail and name and transfer these two data to Commentio, are the comments always correctly assigned?

I see the finish line. When all works then we talk about the payment modalities. ?

Yes they'll be correctly assigned. Just make sure that the data that you transfer passes the validation rules of Commentics. For the email this must obviously be a valid email address and for the name it must start with a letter and only contain these characters: letters, ampersand, hyphen, apostrophe, period, space, numbers.
