PHP version
#1

Hello,

I wanted to confirm that Commentics v4.0 will run on PHP 7.3.

Is there an estimated time when Commentics v4.0 will run on a PHP version higher than 7.3?

I have received server notifications that PHP versions up until 7.1 have been deprecated, and so I will probably install PHP version 7.3.
Does it matter which I upgrade first, PHP or Commentics? ( I still haven't upgraded to Commentics v4.0)

Lastly, if PHP is upgraded (without upgrading Commentics), and there is reduced functionality, will functionality be restored if I switch the PHP version straight back?

Thanks for your help,

Neo

Hi Neo,

Yes Commentics v4.0 has been tested and confirmed as working on PHP 7.3:

I've also been testing it locally recently on PHP 7.4.5 without any issues.

It shouldn't matter which is upgraded first but I think upgrading Commentics first would be ideal. Commentics v4.0 should work on PHP versions as far back as PHP 5.3.7.

Yes functionality would be restored if you switch the PHP version back.

Have you completed the interview?
