Hi,
The script needs mb_strlen() in order to work properly. It's a function which is part of the mbstring PHP extension. The script has made use of the function since v1.1 (August 2010) and the System Check during installation/upgrade has required it since v1.4 (April 2011). You could talk to your host about enabling it.
