Strange symbols above comments ( )
#1

Hi -

Have installed commentics and seems to work fine on product pages at http://www.gbdriver.co.uk - thankyou ;-)

But there is a small glitch - just above where the comments are displayed on the bottom of each product page, is a row of symbols that where not on the page before I installed script, ( )

Example: http://www.gbdriver.co.uk/car-fans-and-h...mister-fan

I wondered if anyone could advise what may be causing this?

I am using the the commentics plugin for ZenCart .

Thank you in advance for any help.
Dan.

Hi Dan,

Sorry for not mentioning this in the Zen Cart plugin but Commentics is a UTF-8 script. New installations of Zen Cart use UTF-8 encoding by default, which is why this issue never occurred for me, but your installation seems to be using one of the Latin-1 encodings and that's why those symbols are appearing. To get rid of them, what you need to do is to switch to UTF-8 encoding. I'm not sure of the exact steps to do this in Zen Cart. There should be some instructions on their support site.

Have you completed the interview?
