It has been a couple of months since any update so I'd like to briefly discuss what's happening in terms of development.
For the last few weeks I have been working on Commentics v1.6. This version is a maintenance release which largely aims to improve existing features and address long-standing bugs. The reason for this is that some of the features introduced over the last few versions, as well as the code in general, require particular focus so that the script as a whole is of a high standard again. Only then will it be possible for new functionality to be added.
With this in mind, you can soon expect a robust and solid programme which your end-users will find to be clearer and more intuitive. For example it will be easier to identify the comments by admin, replies will have an arrow pointing to them, and there will be fewer countries to select from thus making the field far quicker to use. In addition, the admin panel will be translatable and the code will be valid XHTML/CSS. Also, many variables will be renamed to be self-explanatory.
The release date for this version is planned for later this month.
