Comment Title & BBcode

Would it be possible to be able to approve the image itself, and not the whole comment? The rest sounds good.

You mean so that the comment is auto-approved as normal but the image inside won't display until the image is approved?

Right.
You haven't fixed the validation with link parsing, have you?

I wasn't aware that there was a validation issue with the link parsing.

Oh I was aware of this "<p style='margin-top: 8px; margin-bottom: 0px;'/>" causing an xhtml validation error even before I released v1.0. That's why in your very first post I said that Commentics validates if line breaks are turned off.

You'll have to explain the anchor issue some more. Like when would it be blank?

I don't see how the above has anything to do with the link parsing feature?

Good news! I have integrated the BB Code into the ongoing v1.2 and I seem to have fixed the previous security issue (I'll admit, with the help of a support site). I have a lot of testing to do now.

That really is great news! I'm also working on a new style. I'll put it up when I'm done.

A new style would be welcome.

I decided to retain the BB Code link tag because it has an advantage over the automatic link parsing in that a name for the link can be specified so instead of the link being "domain.com", it can be "any text".

Quick update on the BB Code development.

Today I've mostly been working on converting the resulting BB Code html in preparation for inclusion in the emails.

For example, with the BB Code bullet list tag, the comment can display a html bullet list like this:
  • test
  • testing
However that's not going to display properly in a plain text email. I briefly thought about sending a html email but I really don't want to go down that route. Instead the script converts it to this:

- test
- testing
