Help - Manage Bans

The following are explanations of the possible ban reasons.

  • The email entered is injected: Someone tried to submit a new line character in one of the form fields. This requires manipulation of the form and is a technique typically used for spam.
  • The name entered is reserved: Someone has entered a name which is reserved. This may be an attempt to impersonate the administrator.
  • The name entered is banned: A banned name has been entered in the name field.
  • The name entered is fake: A fake name such as 'test' or 'nobody' has been entered in the name field.
  • The name contains a link: A URL link has been entered in the name field.
  • The email entered is reserved: A reserved email address has been entered in the email field. This may be an attempt to subscribe the address of the administrator.
  • The email entered is banned: Someone has entered a banned email address inside the email field.
  • The email entered is fake: A fake email address such as 'example.com' has been entered in the email field.
  • The website entered is reserved: A reserved website address has been entered in the website field. Someone has likely entered the address of the site.
  • The website entered is banned: Someone has entered a banned website address in either the website field or the comment field.
  • The website entered is fake: A fake website address such as 'example.com' has been entered in the website field.
  • The town entered is reserved: A reserved town has been entered in the town field.
  • The town entered is banned: A banned town has been entered in the town field.
  • The town entered is fake: A fake town such as 'test' has been entered in the town field.
  • The town contains a link: A URL link has been entered in the town field.
  • The comment contains mild swearing: Swear words that may not cause a high level of offence have been entered in the comment field.
  • The comment contains strong swearing: Swear words that will likely cause a high level of offence have been entered in the comment field.
  • The comment contains spam words: Corporate advertising has been entered in the comment field.
  • The comment has too many capitals: The comment contains a high percentage of capital letters.
  • The comment contains a link: A URL link has been entered in the comment field.
  • The comment has repeating characters: 3 or more repeating non-numeric characters have been entered in the comment field.
