Email notification does not work
#1

Hi, I tried out this great script. All seems to be working. However, when I post a test comment, I don't receive any notifications, neither on my poster email nor on my admin email. I set up the emails comments@mydomain.org and no-reply@mydomain.org on my domain and these emails are also setup in the control panel under settings/email/user/subscriber confirmation and so on. Is this a problem of the settings of my domain? Must I activate autoresponder there or something else?
I found the problem, it's my hosting service that does not allow sending emails... Sorry for opening this thread.

Hi,

The sending of emails should work without the need to do anything.
  • Are you detected as an admin when posting? This would mean that it wouldn't send an email.
  • Does the mail() function work on your server? It should have told you during the System Check.
  • Are you sure that the email hasn't gone into your spam folder?
  • Do you have any subscribers listed in Manage -> Subscribers?
  • Do emails from other scripts on your site work okay?
You can try the FAQ http://www.commentics.org/support/knowle...article=15
