Modules installation
#1

Hello, I bought a commentics license to benefit from the modules and languages.

The installation of the modules poses problem, it indicates to me that it is impossible to create the folder "extension".
So I ended up putting all the files in 777 in commentics folder and the installation was successful.
I have installed only the "Search Report" module for now.
The link does not appear in the drop-down list:

On the other hand, I have good access to the "searches" page but it remains without data :

I specify that the module is activated:

A solution ?
Thank you very much in advance

Hi there,

Which version of Commentics are you using?
Did you download the correct version of the module?
What's in your '/system/modification/' folder?
What's in your '/system/cache/modification/' folder?
Is there a '/system/logs/modification.log' file?

Have you completed the interview?

Did you download the correct version of the module? Search Report v3.0 to v4.0 (the only one proposed for download)

What's in your '/system/modification/' folder? xml/search_report.xml

What's in your '/system/cache/modification/' folder? Nothing (Folder empty)

Is there a '/system/logs/modification.log' file? No

Thanks

Thanks for providing the information.

It looks as if the modification class (/system/library/modification.php) isn't generating any of the cache files needed for the module to work.

If you open that file above, you should see this on line 21:

PHP Code:
<?php
if ($this->hasModificationFiles() && $this->isModificationCacheEmpty()) {

I'd be interested to find out whether it's entering that if statement, and if it is, how far it's reaching. You could determine this by adding some debug code or if you PM your FTP details I'd be happy to do this as well.

It's possible this is because of your file and folder permissions still. If you go to 'Reports -> Permissions' does it say everything is okay?

More info about the modification system:

It does not go into the "if" :

Okay it looks as if the PHP glob function isn't working on your server for some reason. I'd need FTP access to say for sure and to figure out if something else can be implemented which works on your setup. Alternatively also happy to refund your licence if you'd prefer to do that.

I do not want a refund. I like this project so I want to support it.
I think we will find a solution. I send you a private message with the php and ftp config.
