database connection error
#1

The name of my DB username is 'db591578652' and I am putting it in correctly. I have done it, oh about six times. I complete all information that is RED * and then I am getting the following message
Quote:Sorry, there is a database connection error:

1044: Access denied for user 'dbo591578652'@'%' to database 'b591578652'

This error appears to be because your username is wrong.

The following are steps to help fix it:

(a) Open the file /db/details.php
(b) Check the value of $cmtx_mysql_username
© Does it match with your MySQL username?

It seams to be dropping the first letter

You said that your DB username is 'db591578652'. Yet it's reporting that you entered 'dbo591578652'. Are you sure you didn't accidentally enter the 'o' after 'db'?

Your comment at the end about it dropping the first letter seems to be referring to the database? Yet you've only told me what your DB username is, not what your database name is. The error suggests that it's actually managed to connect to your database successfully, it's just the username that is wrong, probably due to the 'o'.

Have you completed the interview?

I have no idea what is going on but everything is now working correctly with exactly the same info I was using when i had the problem.
